We were delighted to have Michael Herriman update our club on the status of The Haiti Water Program, that is providing devices to create clean, potable water for thousands of Haitians. Herriman reports that the project, which distributed 1,000 water filtration systems to families in Cap Hatien, Haiti is going well and that there is a consistent supply of filter parts and purification tablets. They look forward to a training session for the technicians that work with the filter system recipients and assure they are being used properly and consistently. Herriman believes that these training sessions keep the technicians motivated, focused and well educated, so that the program is sustained. Mr. Herriman stated that it's "all good news" and that Liberty Rotary Club's efforts in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere are doing a great deal of good.
