Liberty Rotary was visited by a very impressive young lady, who at age 11 had done more good in the world than many do in a lifetime. Her work to raise funds for M.S., is truly remarkable.

Breanna's father was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in January of 2005. She grew up knowing how to identify and help her father when he was in or about the have an M.S. attack. Breanna’s father tells us that she is a helpful, kind child by nature and always participated in events towards finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Breanna discovered that returning bottles for refunds was a great way to help raise money towards finding a cure for M.S.

Breanna began Breanna's Cans for the Cure three years ago when she was in third grade. The first year Breanna raised $42.00 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Breanna raised $305.00 her second year and this year Breanna has raised $2,000.00 as of now.

Breanna's contributions from this year will be donated on Friday, April 22nd at the Annual Kickoff party at the Rockland House in Roscoe, NY at 5:00pm.

There are three locations in which cans can be dropped off for Breanna's Cans for the Cure.

The first location is Cans for Dollars at 9 Ontario Street in Liberty, across from Agway. The second location is 287 DeBruce Road, Livingston Manor, and the third location is 148 Rockland Road in Roscoe, which is directly across the street from Roscoe Beer Company. All three locations have a Breanna's Cans for the Cure sign displayed. People can also contact Stephen, Breanna's father, at 845-802-6151 for cans to be picked up.
