On Saturday, October 9, our club gave away approximately 525 coats (in adult and kid sizes) and winter accessories to local families in need. The majority of the coats, which were distributed at the Liberty Senior Center, were donated by the community, with each Jeff Bank location, Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills, Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility, St. Peter’s Church in Liberty, and the Liberty Interact Club (at Liberty HS) serving as drop locations.

Our club also used some of its own funds to clean coats, as well as purchase additional coats where there was a need (i.e. children’s sizes). Leftover coats were donated to the Liberty United Methodist Church, which will be holding their own drive in the near future.

Thanks to everyone who donated coats and winter accessories, our drop-off location partners, and the Town of Liberty Parks and Rec department for allowing us to use the space. You helped to make this year’s coat drive a smashing success!
