Liberty Rotary purchased the 3rd and final gift for Sullivan County Office of the Aging Meals on Wheels Seniors who are home bound. The gift they received for this round was LED flashlights, with an inspiring poem. We are hopeful that this simple gift will assure many seniors that they are in our thoughts at this busy time of year.
Seniors are often forgotten and many have few visitors. In 2023 we were able to reach out to 167 seniors in Sullivan County and brighten their lives by delivering 3 gifts throughout the year.
Our club was very fortunate to receive a $4000 grant from the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan to fund this project. We thank the foundation and all those that worked to make this project possible for our seniors.
