On August 2nd, Amanda Langseder of Catskill Regional Medical Center came to speak to Liberty Rotary Club about the dismal health situation in Sullivan County and the impressive efforts being made to improve the situation.  Sullivan County and Liberty schools are faced with issues like high obesity rates, poor dental care and high rates of morbidity due to cancer.  However, Amanda is working with multiple groups throughout our county(Catholic Charities, Sullivan County Legislature, Chamber of Commerce, PRASAD, CRMC...) to bring better health to our region.  Through a multifaceted approach, their aim is to provide wellness education and opportunity to the members of our community.  We thank Amanda and all those involved for their passion and efforts to make Sullivan County a healthier place to live.
Below, Amanda is shown with a bottle from a popular sports drink and a bag showing the amount of sugar consumed from each bottle.  A strong visual to encourage consumers to "drink water".
